What is GOTS Certification?
GOTS is a textile production certification that is the leading textile processing standard for organic fibers across the world. It limits or prohibits the use of toxic bleaches, dyes, and other chemicals in the manufacturing and production of textiles. It ensures that producers follow environmentally and socially responsible practices to provide high-quality products to the end-user.
The benchmarks required to receive the GOTS Certification change over the years to adapt to shifting needs. Version 5.0 was published in March of 2017, 12 years after the release of the first version.
